SNAPColumn™
is a family member of SNAPBridge™: Bridge Analysis and Design Software Suite
developed by SAS Suite, LLC. It is a Windows-based computer program module for
the analysis and design of reinforced concrete columns under axial
compression/tension and biaxial bending. It is integrated seamlessly into the
SNAPBridge™ Suite, which provides an integrated project workspace. The program
will design and analyze reinforced concrete columns using AASHTO Standard
Specifications for Highway Bridges and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design
Specifications.
The
program solves a column for all loads and code-check its strength in accordance
with the code requirements. The graphic interface makes users easily to
draw/define the column section geometry on screen directly. The program
supports any type of arbitrary sections. The graphic output function of the
program lets users to examine the analysis results on the computer screen. This
allows a designer to visually check the adequacy of the design and quickly make
adjustments to achieve the optimum solution.
SNAPColumn™
is Microsoft Windows-based. It runs under Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98,
Windows NT and Windows 2000. Network version of SNAPBridge™ Suite is also
available.
