INTRODUCTION
SNAPBoxBeam™ is a family member of SNAPBridge™: Bridge Analysis and Design Software Suite developed by SAS Suite, LLC. It is a Windows-based general computer program module for the analysis and design of simply supported and continuous steel box girder bridges. It is integrated seamlessly into the SNAPBridge Suite, which offers an integrated project workspace. The program will design and analyze beams using AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
The program solves a beam for all loads and code-checks the beam sections in accordance with the codes. The graphic interface makes user visually to build the structural model and to check the results on the computer screen. This allows a designer to visually check the adequacy of the design and quickly make adjustments to achieve the optimum solution.
SNAPBoxBeam is Microsoft Windows-based. It runs under Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows 2000. Network version of SNAPBridge Suite is also available.
